As the baseline for Ames' latest hosereel initiative, the major contribution to this design was early in the project:   moving the storage tray to the bottom of the unit and suggesting the handle be folded down by the consumer for winter storage.   Additionally, the final design includes stackability for improved palletization.

Designed in the mid-90's, this product continues to sell long after having shattered the rigid format it replaced and setting a new standard.
