This dog tag-like "smart object" - a crowdsourcing, networked, personal safety device - was conceived and designed over a four-day period in July, 2004. Significantly, it predates both Bruce Sterling's "spime" (Aug 2004) and Julian Bleecker's "blogject" (post-spime) concepts; both of which are similar.
